Deshiboy needed a fully custom ecommerce platform tuned to local preferences — Bangla product copy, SSLCommerz + cash-on-delivery checkout, multi-warehouse inventory, and a storefront that loads instantly on mid-range Android phones. We built it on Laravel with a Next.js storefront and Reverb-backed real-time order tracking for both customers and ops.

The problem

Off-the-shelf ecommerce platforms were too generic — no native Bangla support, awkward COD flows, and slow on the devices most customers actually use.

The approach

Custom Laravel backend with first-class Bangla content fields and a Next.js storefront that hits 95+ on Lighthouse mobile. SSLCommerz for cards, plus a tuned cash-on-delivery flow with verification SMS.

The outcome

Launched ahead of schedule. First-session conversion lift of 24% versus the previous Shopify storefront, with a 2.4× repeat-customer rate in the first quarter.
